October 30, 2012

Today was a fun-filled pre-Halloween day .  . . I showed my costume to Grandbob and Grandma before they went home after a fun weekend (you can't see those pictures until tomorrow!) . . . Mommy & Aunt Whitney took me, Bennett and Bisa to visit Nana & Bumpa (that's Bennett & Bisa's grandma and grandpa) we wore our costumes and were the hit of the law office (again, you can't see those pictures until tomorrow . . . I don't want to reveal my costume!  Finally, Daddy, Mommy and I carved a pumpkin . . . the insides were slimy and cold, but I still touched them . . . my favorite thing to do was take the top off the pumpkin and put it back on!
Such a good helper
Daddy, did that pumpkin just throw up in my mixing bowl???

Delicious!

Daddy is super silly

One last check to make sure the insides are clean

Here Daddy . . . you missed a seed

What's in here?

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We have had an eventful few weeks . . . Peter spent three days in the hospital last weekend due to asthma-related issues . . . as a result, he now has a daily inhaled steroid that we will help him use . . . it seems to be helping thus far . . . Mac is Peter's favorite buddy these days . . . this smile is the first one we saw in three days!
This was the first night . . . poor little guy had a rough time . . . his breathing was quite labored.  We inhale oxygen that then moves to our blood stream to oxygenate our blood (a REALLY simple explanation for a much more complex process) . . . a normal person's oxygen saturation typically ranges between 95% and 100%.  Pete's "sats" were 71% when we got to the hospital.  This is a struggle he had as a newborn due to his immature lungs.  Unfortunately, it is a lasting result of his prematurity.   We (and his doctor) are hopeful that he will outgrow his "non-specific" asthma by the time he is school-aged.
Feeling a little better on Monday morning and ready to go home

As you can see, Peter's is back to being a little animal lover.  We went to Alpaca Fest on Saturday and got to learn all kinds of fun facts about them.

October 12, 2012 part 2

At the beginning of our vacation we went to Little Rock, AR to celebrate Great Gram's 90th birthday

I have lots of 3rd cousins . . . who knew?

This is John . . . he is awesome . . . we had fun times together . . . his head is fuzzy (that's an inside joke . . . if you were there, you know what I mean!)

The birthday girl and her youngest great grandchildren  (I can say that because Bisa is 3 days older than me!)

This is Anna . . . she is a great snuggler!

John and Anna and me . . .

Good Morning from Lake of the Ozarks - Scholtens Family Vacation 2012
This is how Daddy & I spent every morning after breakfast - feeding the fish bagels (ok, I admit it . . . I ate most of my pieces!)

I had my first Oreo . . . it is vacation afterall

I really liked riding on the boat . . . however, the life jacket was a bit snug around my head

Still vacation . . . DumDum suckers are yummy

Gotta love a good junk store, don't ya think?

Ladies, Ladies, calm down, there is enough of me to go around

This is an exceptionally nice picture of me & Daddy at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, don't you think?

I've got my Davey Crockett hat . . . let's go!

Time for spelunking

It got a bit tight at the Bridal Cave Caverns so Daddy gave me a ride

Again, Daddy & Me . . .aren't we just soooo handsome?!?
